Payment Policy
Bookings are secured by full payment of the amount of the reservation, by bank transfer, up to 30 days prior to check-in.
The reservation is confirmed after we receive the receipt of proof of payment by email to [email protected].
Non-payment of this amount will lead to the automatic cancellation of the reservation.
Cancellation policy
The conditions of cancellation depend on the advance of the respective communication:
– If it is up to 30 days before the date of check-in, we will give you a full refund of the amount paid for the reservation;
The guests already installed can interrupt their stay, whenever they want, with no refund.
Terms and conditions
The terms and conditions contained in this document apply to the relationship between the potencial guest, hereinafter referred to as Customer, and the Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local, from the moment of the reservation request until the end of the stay.
In situations that are not foreseen in the Terms and Conditions, we recourse to the applicable legislation.
Reservation Policy
Reservations can be made by phone, email, through our website or by Booking.com and Airbnb. Reservations by phone, email and on our web page are subject to the availability at the momment of reservation.
Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local guarantees to the Client the availability of a room matching the reserved room type as well as access to the common spaces of our AL, namely, two kitchens, dining room, living room, balcony, laundry, computers area and a barbecue.
- Check-In and Check-Out
Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local gives access to the room booked by the Client from 1 pm. In the case of no reservation being made and if accommodation is requested at the reception, it is subject to availability at the time of request..
Upon check-in, the guest will have to identify himself and provide the receptionist his/her identification document (identity card / passport).
On the date of departure, the Client will have to leave the room free of people and property and without any damages until 11:30 a.m.
Check-in and check-out can take place outside the set timetable if the availability is checked first with the employees of Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local.
If the room is not vacated by 11:30 a.m. on the day of departure, without any prior justification or consent from Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local, a compensation will be immediately charged corresponding to the price of one night, and the Client will only be entitled to use the room in that period if there are rooms available for that day. Otherwise the Client will have to pay the compensation and leave the room as soon as possible.
Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local does not have a 24-hour front desk service. Guests are kindly requested to inform us of their arrival time.
Upon check-in you will be given a keyring with two keys: one from the main door of the building and one from the room hired. If you lose one of the keys you should go to the reception and immediately report what happened, the value of the key will be charged to the guest. Keys must be returned upon check-out.
- Terms of use
Only the people indicated in the accommodation reservation will be entitled to use the room. It is only allowed the temporary stay of visits to our guests with prior consent of the management of Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local.
Clients must use the room in the appropriate conditions, with care and consideration.
Guests must treat other guests with consideration and respect the Regulation available in each room.
Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local offers its guests a common kitchen, lounge and patio.
The common spaces and equipment available to the guests should be used right and left clean and in good condition.
All damages, breakdowns and thefts associated with the Client will be charged, taking into account the value of the damages in question.
Children under 18 years of age must be supervised by an adult guest at all times during their stay at Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local.
Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local shall not be liable for personal property that may disappear within its premises.
The Client must always close the access doors to the building, the bedroom door and make sure that they are properly closed.
In case of an emergency, the Client must call the helpful contacts, at hand in the Regulation, available in each room for this purpose.
- Parking
Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local does not have private parking. However, there is free public parking in its surroundings.
- Pets
It is expressly forbidden to lodge pets in Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local.
- Ruído
For the sake of respect and understanding towards all guests, we request special attention to silence in the social areas, stairs and corridors.
Between 10 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., no activities that cause noise or might annoy other guests are allowed, according to the General Regulation of Noise.
- Room access by Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local team
The Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local team will have the right to enter the room during the Client’s stay in order to carry out cleaning, repair and similar work.
- Price of the stay and other prices
The price of the stay payable by the Client constitutes the consideration for the use of the room in the period between check-in and check-out.
The total price of the stay will be charged per night, regardless of whether the Customer actually used the room.
The applicable rates will be the agreed prices or the prices established in the Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local in force on the date of the reservation request. Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local will have the right to update prices, informing the Client in a timely manner.
The rates and amounts indicated for the stay are all plus VAT at the legal rate in force, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Children up to 5 years stay free of charge.
Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local offers information and promotions in progress on its website. The offers and promotions are temporary and are subject to the specific conditions defined.
- Payment Conditions
The payment of the value of the stay and extra services (extra bed), must be paid at the time of check-in. If the duration of the Client’s stay is not specified, the price of the stay for each night must be paid until 11.30 a.m. at the time of check-out.
Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local accepts payments in cash, ATM, paypal or bank transfer. We accept debit and credit cards.
Checks are not accepted.
Specific payment terms may apply to travel agencies, tour operators and other entities.
- Complaints
There is a complaint book on reception.
Any complaints or suggestions should be directed to management. If there is a defect in the Client’s room, Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local has the right to opt for the repair and re-room the guest in a room in the same type of the one contracted with the guest. We will only consider defects that can call into question the level of service and quality of Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local.
- Responsabilities of Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local
Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local will be responsible for ensuring the conditions of hygiene, cleanliness and security of the lodging.
Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local shall not be liable for personal property that may disappear within its premises.
Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local assumes no responsibility for loss of data provided by the Client in case of electronic transmission of payment data, being only responsible if there is a wrongful action.
Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local will not be responsible to the Client about a delay in making the room available in case of force majeure. Force majeure will make it impossible or more difficult to make the room available, such as strikes, blockades, natural disasters, accidents in the room or in the accommodation.
- Duty of Notification
In the event of theft, property damage, fire, flood or other damage to the accommodation room, Client must immediately inform the Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local team and do everything necessary to solve the situation.
- Terminus of the Stay
Monte da Guia – Local Accommodation has the right to terminate the stay in case the Client does not pay the amount owed, as well as if the Client presents any behavior that affects good living, quiet or hygiene.
The Client may request the end of his/her stay at any time until 7.30 p.m., to take effect at 11:30 a.m. the next day.
- Data Protection
The personal data of the Clients will be stored and processed by Monte da Guia – Local Accommodation and to service providers, in accordance with the Law, for the services requested by the Client and for the own advertising campaigns.
The Client shall have the right to oppose at any time for the use of personal data for advertising purposes, and shall inform Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local.
Unless otherwise legally stated, Client’s personal data shall be excluded upon expiration of the statutory retention period.
- General Provisions
The Terms and Conditions regulate the stay of the Client in Monte da Guia – Alojamento Local and the use of the room.
The invalidity of one or more of the previous provisions shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid provision will be replaced by the valid provision, the most approximate of the commercial and legal intentions of the parties or if this is not possible by the portuguese legislation in force.
